San Antonio

Live

This city is home to 18 school districts and are some of the best ranked schools in Texas. There are more than 15 GREAT parks to visit and you can’t help but want to be outside when you see what they offer. This city is incredibly rich in history and has a large variety of activities for you and your family. My family loves visiting the Riverwalk and The Alamo to experience the cities diverse culture and historic roots. This city has it all; history, amusement parks, scenic parks and the BEST basketball team – The Spurs. Come see why so many people call this home.

Shop

There are so many amazing malls and shops to visit in San Antonio – if you want to shop, then THIS IS THE CITY. Some of the most popular malls are North Star Mall, Ingram Park Mall and The Shops at La Cantera, River Center Mall, The Pearl Brewery (one of my top picks) and of course I love to shop local at one of the farmers markets that happen all over the city - it’s so nice to support our city.

San Antonio features

Play

Hands down – McAllistar Park wins for our family – with the wide variety of jogging & biking trails, picnic spots and playscapes it covers all our needs. The baseball fields there are some of the best my boys have played on!

Eisenhower Park, Friedrich Wilderness Park, Brackenridge Park and Hemisfair Park are some of our favorite places to visit with our kids –the city has so much for you to to choose from, you won’t be disappointed.

Love to play? Our kids certainly do and here is a list of some of our favorite parks and sports fields. To be honest – you will most likely find us at one of these parks every weekend.

Dine

Yes, we love to eat – it’s no secret – so if it’s one of our favorites, you can guarantee its worth visiting! The Scott Team travels in a pack and often with our families – so some of our recommendations are more kid friendly than others – but all of them defiantly have great service and food worth writing about. Go try one of these and see for yourself! Mash’d, Whiskey Cake, Yummi Japanese Restaurant, Tiu Steppi’s and Texas De Brazil are our TOP favorites.
